Senn HD600
Senn HD25
JVC S500 (cable repaired, replaced earpads with the HD25 vinil spare earpad)
ATH m50x
Beats SOLO 2 (replaced cable, replaced earpads)

What I had at some point but they are no longer with me:
Creative Aurvana Live (broke, repaired and then gave to someone)
Koss KSC-75 (broke)
Koss Porta Pro (gave to someone)
AKG k414p (broke)

Should I get the Focal Elear next?

The difference is either about 3 dB of extra bass in the HD650 or about 3 dB of extra treble in the HD600, depending on how you align the graphs when you compare them.
tl;dr: HD650 is about 3 dB darker.

That's not true, I fell the bass on the HD-25 is better than what I hear from the HD-600.

>Get Etymotic ER-4S.
I'm not sure about using in-earphones. They can get your in ear canal really full of dirty.
>>
>>62139454
I have owned both and the 600 is better. The 600's treble is already slightly recessed compared to most headphones which is a good thing in my experience. The fact that the 650 is even more recessed makes it inferior straight away. I do ad a tiny bit of sub bass on my 600 but even then it's still not as muddy overall as the 650. The 650 is an amazing headphone. The 600 is just slightly better.

If you're a germophobe just wipe them with an alcohol wipe before inserting them. If it's earwax you're worried about, earwax removal syringes are a miracle of the universe.
>>
>>62139592
HD-25 bass is elevated, e.g. there is more bass than what is accurate. You can obtain an open headphone with more bass than the HD600 and you may subjectively prefer it but this will objectively be a downgrade.
>>

>>

You have a point, and I never did that. Is that all it takes for either headphone? They are both my first and second best headphone that I have ever tried. I prefer the cleaner sound of the 600. I feel that the 650 need the highs reduced, and the mid bas reduced. The 600 doesn't need anything, but I like a +2db sub bass boost, and that's still in a trial period.

Equalizer APO.
Filters to change HD600 to HD650:
8569 Hz, -2.3 dB, Q 1.0
15561 Hz, -4.1 dB, Q 1.0
17866 Hz, -1.4 dB, Q 5.0
18859 Hz, -2.2 dB, Q 5.0
19897 Hz, -5.6 dB, Q 4.999

it's the fact that it's hot glue, and on the drivers itself

It's difficult to accurately quantify the difference in bass response between HD650 and HD600 via the numerous measurements out there because of seal differences, but my best guess based upon the totality of measurements available is that there's zero difference in midbass quantity and, at best, a very small, pretty damn inconsequential difference in the very lowest sub-bass response which isn't even present in the form of fundamental tones in the vast majority of music. Doing the treble adjustment in >>62140260 will, for all intents and purposes, transform HD600 into HD650 or vice versa.

MDR-MA900 comfort is absolutely unparalleled but they're discontinued. I cannot recommend them highly enough as a candidate for equalization if you can find an affordable pair.

I know I didn't clarify. But I really meant was for its relative size and cost. To parrot noaudiophile and quote him, "The Transparent One uses passive crossover parts. With the Zero, Vanatoo chose to biamp for great justice and implement an insano 8th order 48dB/octave active crossover slope at a very low 2200Hz. The 2200Hz crossover point means that it will easily integrate well with the 4 inch woofer. This will minimize off axis null found at the crossover point as you move off axis vertically with two way speakers. (something very important in a desktop speaker) "

I own both, the elears sound pretty bad out of the box but after a pad swap and some EQ, they have way better separation and imaging than the LCDs.
