15 inch 1080p IPS panel for my laptop was about 60$ and replacing was pretty easy. It wasn't even broken, I just did it to replace the TN eye cancer panel. I also used the old panel to make a second USB powered monitor.

Depends on your laptop. In mine I needed to unscrew the cover, disconnect the battery, unclip the display frame, unscrew and unplug the panel, install the new panel, and reassemble everything back.
