also aside from heavier disk usage, i see no difference in performance/usability between the two, but 8 can be used like 7 with another start menu , while 10 seems to make searching for classic control panel settings harder on purpose.

it relly depends on your definition of "user friendly".

If you mean everything dumbed down: Win10 > Win8.1

If you mean "we let you do as much as you can without stupid restrictions": Win 8.1 > Win10

They're both shit in the end. In my opinion the best current Windows is Win10 LTSB, and it's still shit compared to macOS or CentOS
