So, I got a chance to choose between iPad Pro 12.9" 4GB vs iPad Pro 9.7 2GB of RAM.
Is 2GB enough these days on iPad?
I can get any of these for free.
Would prefer 9.7", but it's the 2GB that gets me worried.

it's not a laptop
for a tablet running ios, 2GB is a lot

iPad on iOS 11 is able to do a lot of multitasking these days

try and get the 4gb if you can. you can run three apps side by side in ios11 with 4gb, and you can't do it with 2.

Go with the 12.9 unless you can get your hands on the patrician 10.5 one.

2GB of Ram works just fine on my iPhone 6S. Don't know if it will be enough for iOS 11 to run smoothly, but it's not acting slow on iOS 10.3.2, or whatever the latest update is.

It depends on what you're using it for. If it's for photo or video editing, 4GB is a must. If it's for streaming Netflix and browsing, 2GB will last you for another 2 years, maybe 3 at most. I wouldn't expect it to last more than that though, with multitasking being pushed and AR coming around, 4GB will be more necessary.

Only time I've seen that was when my friend was using his iPad in Spain. It was 35C and we were chilling next to the pool. Literally a non-issue.
Wish there was 9.7" Pro with 4GB
