stay away from samsung if you want to use open software

they have locked bootloaders with NOX enabled (tampering detector)

they also have secure boot enabled and most likely prevention from rooting

use hardware that respects your freedoms

Spend a little more and get the S7 active. Removable storage, slightly better camera and specs.

Buy it refurbished off eBay, that's where I got mine. The price difference between the two isn't much on that market....

Get the S7 active. Then you get a memory card slot and even better battery life.

I liked my S6, but the lack of expandable memory and horrible battery degredation sucked.
