Lunix will never be a good desktop OS because it is based on UNIX which was never designed to be a desktop OS, it was designed to be a command line server OS. X11 is a hacky, buggy pile of shit and its countless potential successors are not much better, there is absolutely no consistency because all the popular GUI applications are written using different frameworks, new versions of those frameworks constantly break compatibility with applications, graphics card companies stopped caring about Lunix enough to make proprietary drivers, free-software drivers are reverse-engineered piles of shit that are full of bugs and have shitty performance, KDE and GNOME development has been taken over by insane aspies who care more about trying to "innovate" with bizarre, ugly, resource-hogging shit than making a stable and familiar interface, the forks of old good versions of these DEs such as MATE and Trinity can't keep up with the development of new versions of GTK and QT, Xfce and LXDE development has the same problem and they are not actively maintained at all, what's left are shitty window managers that lack even the most basic features and require editing config files (or sometimes even source code files) just to change the options, you have to choose between a "stable" distro that contains incredibly outdated software with unfixed bugs or a "bleeding edge" distro full of experimental software with unreported bugs, some of which are capable of causing catastrophic damage (pic related). Lunix is only good for use as a secure web server, Windows and MacOS are superior in every other area. And no, Lunix isn't a good choice as a cross-platform development environment either because it's much easier to write and compile Lunix software in Windows than it is to write and compile Windows software in Lunix. Lunix is shit and its userbase is a bunch of autistic dorks with superiority complexes.
