If open source software is so great, why don't they make software better than adobe or microsoft? For example, there are ides that you have to pay hundreds of dollars per year, even though a group of developers could write one in a few months.
If proprietary software is not utter garbage, why is insiders Windows Subsystem for Linux so developers developers developers don't forget windows exists?

If Open Source is so great then how come there's no Open Source 2? There's already a Windows 10 because everyone likes it but only one open source that no one uses except nerds with boring jobs

Photoshop is probably one of the best, if not THE best photo editing software on the market. The rest of their suite is eh.
As for Microsoft, I can't think of anything except for Visual Studio. Everything else is extremely overrated, especially MS Office.

what i mean is that their software is very expensive. so, with the availability of open source software, one could just great a program like photoshop, and sell it for a few dollars.

There is no software, proprietary or otherwise, that's even in the same league as PS when it comes to image manipulation. With MS there's still no good replacement for Excel, all the alternatives are awful if you actually work with spreadsheets in a professional setting.

Only accountant keyboard monkeys need to use Excel professionally. But it's okay we won't judge you for being a wageslave. Just don't forget to add Mr. Goldberg's 20% bonus to this quarter's financial planning sheet, anon!
