How much do big retailers dump every year?
At a certain point dated electronics become worthless for the common consumer.
Do some companies specialize in buying up the stuff retailers can't sell to end users anymore?

A lot but it takes time, i knew a guy that worked in some clothing conglomerate's warehouse and they used to ship things out to other national markets after the season was over if they couldn't sell the clothing lines.
They'd be sold at the same price or even higher and if they couldn't sell them they'd send it to some other market again, whatever was left after it went through the whole chain went back home and they'd try to sell it for scrap prices or just outright sell it to their employees at big discounts. He got me all kinds of cheap brand clothes and shoes that way, they had the whole warehouse filled with stuff that had made it back home and was ready to be scrapped.
