What's your opinion on Django? Is it worth learning over node js?

I don't have any experience in node.js but I heard it's a hipster playground infested by a million libraries to do basic shit.

Django is more serious, but it had a bit of functionality creep for the basic stuff I needed.

Django if like Python or are a web noob that wants to get into websites.
Node if you like JavaScript and want to learn how shit works.

Node is only "backend JavaScript", Django is a full-blown MVC framework. So your question should rather be:
Django vs. Node + Express + Vue + (..)

Django is great. Can get really complex websites up quickly.
