Hey guys. I want to buy some used headphones from other country in EU and I offered seller to pay via PayPal so it will be more or less safe for me and him. Ived tried AB'ing them against as many headphones as I could at a local hifi shop and Nola dealer near me. Usually listen to 3-4 songs before switching to a different headphone. They have no sub bass and the highs are rolled off. Not my cup of tea.

HIFIM 500's vs Senns 650s

Thinking I need the classic 650 and I need a power house dynamic driver phone at the ready. I own the 500's although the hifiM 560's are my go to's sometimes i reach for the 500's for more fun and musicality. I can't sell my 500's but I wonder if the 650's might better alternative to the 500's for when i just want to enjoy the music and not feel cheated on sound quality and detail.

bass bleeds into the lower mids on some tracks
highs are nice but doesn't completely blend in with the rest of what i'm hearing

Yep, if you got a modern motherboard it will power the HD600/650 just fine. I've owned a plethora of amps/dacs in the past and the realtek ALC1220 on my z270 board is indistinguishable sound wise, it even has no background hiss compared to some of my older dacs/amps. It gets my HD 600 more than loud enough to cause hearing damage. No problems with bass response either, sounds full and gud.

HD598 is extremely comfortable.
HD600 is almost as comfortable, easy to forget I'm wearing them once placed, just slightly harder to get the placement of right, when putting them on.
HD600 did literally hurt by pressing on the skull too hard on the first day of use, didn't after that, but took a month or so to loosen.
HD598 was only a minor annoyance for the first week, comfortable after that.
