> howing the Recent Downloads icon only when needed is an important aspect of the Photon design. We're doing this for a few reasons. One, it clears up unnecessary clutter in the toolbar, to help the user stay focused on what's relevant at the moment. Two, it removes the potential of a user accidentally hiding an important feature via the customize menu. Three, we're solving the access to Previous Downloads with the Library, so there's no need to leave a vestigial tool around because it has a backdoor to that information.

>>62049817

I understand the reasoning and I think it makes sense, I'll see how it works first before I complain about it.

> It removes the potential of a user accidentally hiding an important feature via the customize menu.
They think we are all stupid. This is why they removing customization.
>>62049977
There's no reason for the downloads to ever be removed from the toolbar so why would they allow that? If you want to remove it from the toolbar for some bizarre reason use CSS or make your own fork where you can add that completely useless functionality back.

Shit, I saw a dead fox recently actually.
Took a few of it's teeth, still got them.
>people using the download button
>>62050014
Why wouldn't they allow it? They can't account for every use case people might have, so why not leave the option there?
>>62049684
How did the fox in the image die
>>62051652
It had it's download button customization removed.
>>62051652
It didn't die. It's just in a trance while regenerating its leg.
