I used DC until 2009. I was connected to something named Lysehubben, and honestly it was pretty good. I joined it first in like 2004-2005ish, and everyone needed 200 gb of videos and music to join in. Quite alot back then. And holy fuck I remember adding the library to the program took like several hours/days. But still pretty good. Is the program still in use? Never got to use eMule.

i was introduced to piracy before i had a pc. i got a computer specifically to pirate music and porn (told my mom i needed it for school).

i was still rocking a 56k modem in 2004, so i had to spend an eternity waiting for my downloads to finish.
i was so happy when i finally got dsl in 2006 or so. i used gnutella until 2007 and then ddl until 2010, then switched to torrent. now i have a seedbox, it's the shit.

I first heard of it around fall of 1999 when I was in highschool. During that time there was a Max of around 2,000 users. Then Time published a story on it, and in a week it blew up to 200,000 users. Shit was cash.

First thing I ever downloaded was a 128kbps of Eiffel 65 - blue. Those 3.5mb took like 8 minutes to download back on dialup.
