they're not really wrong in that you probably do want to call newegg first because they might be able to get your shit figured out anyway, it's a win-win if the original location can handle it first, plus if they tell you to go fuck yourself you just have more ammo against them

on the phone side of things it's always worth a try I guess, depending on how they organize things you might have a chance to get your case heard out as long as you're persistent and not a huge dick about it, sometimes the higher tiers of support have the ability to give out free shit and things like that

This meme needs to die. Normalfags blew this non-issue out of proportion. You need an Nvidia (or social media like FB) account to use their Geforce Experience botn- I mean software. The only way this piece of trash is related to drivers is it notifies you when new driver updates are available and gives you the option to install from the program itself. Latest drivers are still available on Nvidia's website.

At first I installed the up-to-date drivers, in which case after a reboot it would not start X, hence a blinking cursor forever and ever, so then I chrooted into it with a recovery USB and purged nvidia*, after that I installed the legacy drivers and it worked, somewhat, I'm having some issues here and there but it works, as soon as I am able I'm dropping nvidia cards entirely and moving on to AMD.

I was able to do that with alot of games on my Fury X, depending on settings I tweaked. It's really not worth, at all. I physically cannot tell a difference, aside from freesync being easier to setup, in my specific case. (Overwatch and Doom didn't like G-Sync for whatever reason and only worked when I capped fps at 1fps below my monitor refresh rate, so 143fps cap)
