I'm on Fedora 26. No VM, a literal OS pieced together just to compile this and I still can't make it work. I've restorted to adding wildcards to devel packages when I use DNF. If I succeed in a 64 bit binary for Linux, I'll upload it.

hahahaha, I feel you bro. Word to the wise. Just include it in the description.

[ravo@box prestocore-fan-presto-c357e547fcbd]$ ./flower -v -j 1 --without-kde4 --without-gtk3 --no-debug-code --without-plugins --without-dual-plugin-wrapper --optimize --without-autoupdatechecker --no-package-devel --release --package=tar

Build command I'm using. It's a Pentium G4400 build since the last time I tried an R7 and it segfaulted.

Did you try applying the Linux patches located in the patches subdirectory of the linked source?
>>
>>62041451
When I try to apply them via $ patch < LinuxReleaseFix.patch it says it can't find the files to patch. Looking in the patch files themselves it seems they have the original in a folder a/[everything] and patched into a folder b/[everything]? I don't remember if I applied them or just changed it by hand since it was only a few lines.
>>
>>62041601
Did you put the patch in the main directory of the source? If you did, please post about your issue on http://forum.timsky.ru/viewforum.php?f=5.

>>62041659
If this thread is still up tomorrow I'll do it. Work comes early in the morning. I'm trying to compile on separate hardware attached to a screen on a wall that's just far enough away I have to squint and still can't read shit so my eyes hurt and trying to post on a site who's menus and buttons are 100% Russian is even more frustrating.
>>
Nobody gives a fuck about this crap.

That's not true.

i just got here but i certainly give a crap

i just dont have any money or coding skills to contribute to this project..

if ever see a presto based browser on ios i will go hungry and give them my food budget for a week ;)
>>
>>62040096
I know it sounds dumb, but is it possible to build 12.15 to run on Windows 98 again? 12.02 was the last version to run with KernalEx
>>
>>62042094
According to the forum, an iOS/Android port will require a new backend for the Vega rendering system and the UI of it isn't touch screen friendly. Of course, someone could try porting it to see exactly how hard it would be to do so.
>>
>>62042194
I will ask in the forum regarding your question.

I'm back.
I downloaded the source from scratch and all the patches again. Put them in the root folder. Pic related. Trying to run each one asks for what folder to patch, but can be done by copy and pasting the file name.

[inb4 reddit spacing - or am I not on /tv/ anymore? Fuck it.]

On a side note regarding my inability to compile on Ryzen, some digging found out it's a legitimate manufacturing defect in the first batch of Ryzen chips. In order to be able to compile with my R7 I have to RMA it and get a new one. There is a shell script you can use to stress test compiling on Ryzen to see if you'll segfault or not. AMD knows about this problem and is honoring RMAs. I'll have to do that in the near future.

Good choice.
>>
>>62048777
Is it compiling now or not?
>>
>>62049641
Nope. Same error. Something is going on that prevents libvpx from compiling.
>>
>>62049766
I think I had the same issue. I resolved it by having someone fix it for me and link the fixed version which I downloaded. Let me see if I can find it after the Gym (so, in 3 hours or so).
>>
>>62049921
If you find it make sure to add it to your repo as well.

Try using the commands listed at http://forum.timsky.ru/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=44&p=334#p334.
