too artsy, too intellectual.

Too retarded for Arch: The Distro
I'm currently using the GNOME version and it's fucking great, there's pretty much 0 bloat, everything looks good, including qt software. It's very stable and you get aur.
>>62022208
Might as well just use an ubuntu.
>>62022208
Pretty good desu. OOTB proprietary drivers, easy to install most software available for Linux, easy to configure to your liking and light on resources.
Once in a while an update comes that fucks up the theme, updates are not available right away like in Arch and that's about it.
>>62022208
Probably the only good arch based distro for desktop use

my first arch installation I followed a long guide the proper way. The second time I used the Arch Installer and everything JUST WERKED.

Is this the distro I'm looking for?
>no reinstall every 6 months bullshit
>packages won't break every other update (is this true, though?)
>binary packages, meaning I don't have to waste processor cycles compiling shit
>>62022640
I think you're looking for Arch, maybe Artix.
>>62022640
Maybe, maybe not
>don't remember an update breaking anything of inmportance, except if the theme is important to you, in which case you might need to reinstall
>no recompiling unless your package is only in the AUR
>>62022208
manjaro is arch for those who dont like, want, or need arch in their lives
By far the best distro i ever used.
>>62022640
The update process is more like a arch-way polished, it's rolling release but they hold and test all the packages before sending them to the users. This is why you never gonna find one or two updates available after pacman -Syu, instead, you're gonna receive an stable release with all the updates once a week.
>>62022930
right they just need a buggy fork of it
>>62022930
in other words, its a nice OS, but there is no reason for it to exist
Fucking love it. Wish it would become the default for beginners.

...so 90% of Linux distros?

90% of linux distros arent fake arch

its fake ubuntu/debian, much worse

screenfetch seems different

Antergos > manjaro
it was pain when i tried it on my laptop
>>62023075
That's the sole criticisim: Someone else is using your precious Arch packages.

Well, it's not very challenging. Maybe add some more walls and passages.

manjaro i3 edition has probably the nickest i3 and conky configs out there after you remove the helptext.

bad font rendering out of the "box" + worse graphics driver performance compared to Ubuntu, which I still can't explain
