Hey /g/
I'm looking for a replacement for my X220 (Fell for the meme with the T430 then fell in love with this little machine) for preferable less than 1000CAD (probably used for that price point)
Here's what I'm looking for:
-Decent resolution 14-15 inch display (IPS if possible, None touch)
-Good keyboard and trackpad (X220's trackpad is way too tiny)
-Solid build quality
-Decently powerfully i5 and preferably a dedicated graphics card for some light gaming (CSGO at 1080p would be nice)
-Low weight (Doesn't have to be a razor-thin ultrabook just not T series weight range)
Any input is appreciated
x1 carbon? For a little bit more. Or a second hand machine.

The new macbook air is amazing.

Well, anything compared to the x220 is low weight.

That's one option I'm considering

the T430 did a number on my back from carrying it along with other things in my backpack all day

Looking for something with a bigger screen specifically

You dont have to upgrade stop being a consumerfag

I need a bigger screen since all my textbooks are pdf and it's not the most comfortable thing to read off a 12 inch display.
Also it idles at 55C after replacing the thermal paste and battery life is pretty terrible at this point and an original battery would cost as much as the machine does. I paid 300CAD for it so I got my money's worth I would say.

Probably a dell xps 13.
QHD screen, decently light, solid build.
Would probably run CSGO alright. My 2015 rMBP 13 could run CSGO at 1080p maxed out with intel iris graphics.

Have you considered more recent Thinkpads? It can be hard to transition to another brand once you get used to them.
