Is there a better way to manage my tormented media? Say I download the first season of The Wire, well that might have weird file names or weird folder structure, or extra folders. As someone who's not generally into modern television, I consider it an awesome resource.

People praise BTN for having rare content, but in my opinion TVV surpasses it. Combine MTV with TVV and you honestly have all based covered even without BTN. I made requests on BTN for shows that never had an official home release, even on VHS, and had them filled pretty quickly. I was surprised by that, because I couldn't imagine someone ripping a whole season of a show from home-recorded VHS tapes in a couple hours. It turns out the rips came from TVV.

I don't know what the requirements are now exactly. I've been a member of CG for years and have a high user class there, so I just joined the IRC channel a couple years ago and was given an invite by an admin. The friendliness of the staff there is another reason the site is great.

MS is also a good resource to have for television oddities, like packs of commercials for game consoles, unofficial compilations, etc.

The "cabal" is great and all, but what really makes private trackers shine are the niche sites. CG and a thirst for exploitation films is what actually piqued my interest in private trackers.

If you have a good member on CG, the CG invite forum has a TVV invite thread and all of the people there have invites. Both sites are pretty relaxed about invites so its not hard to obtain one.
