What is the point of these custom roms vs. stock android? Every video i've watched makes them seem the exact same.

Would be nice if there was a lot of visual changes at least.

You can install it without any google apps.

I can't find a list of the apps that come prepacked with LineageOS.

I hope there isn't a lot of stuff you can only disable and not remove.
I want an android as barebones as possible because I have low disk space and can barely fit my music and images on my phone.

PA still have to prove themselves, so LineageOS is the answer for most phones.
PA has a special relation with OnePlus, so if you have one of their phones, it might worth a try and see for yourself how good the rom is.
