Rust is the Sega Dreamcast of programming languages.
Swift has taken it place well... swiftly... many people from the Rust open-source community are now working on Apple's language, which is also open-source.
Swift has the biggest company on Earth backing it up, plus IBM.
Cannot win :D

Does Swift have all the safety features that Rust faggots always brag about?
>>61994976
No it doesn't.
>>61994957
t. shill
>>61994976
Right now, it doesn't. Because it's an Applications programming language digging down to Systems.
While Rust is a Systems, that won't go up to Applications.
>>61994976
>>61994988
it actually does - check out the full unsafepointer documentation
>>61994957
Swift is not a systems programming language, it's not even trying to compete with Rust. Shut the fuck up macfag pajeet
>>61994987
problem?
>>61994957
Sega dreamcast was done in C fag. Don't compare us to rust
>>61995065
It's going in that direction fast.
Swift 5 will implement the Ownership Manifesto. Making it a more than capable system's programming language.
LOL ignorant.
Sega Dreamcast = good while it lasted, until Sony came with the PS2 and killed it for good, almost overnight.

>falling for the """""""systems programming""""""" meme
99% of Rust and Swift users write shit that could run in node.js and they wouldn't care
>>61994957
Rust vs Swift isn't a fair comparison. Swift is a high level ref counted language, Rust is a true systems language with no GC or ref counting. It's designed to be used to write Game Engines, OSes, Kernels, Device Drivers etc.
You are doing something like comparing C++ with C#. A proper comparison would be Rust vs C++

At least sepples is faster than microcuckC in every test unlike rust that keeps losing left and right to scripting language like swift.

Do you have trouble in reading? The picture shows Swift getting obliterated by Rust
Who cared about Rust anyway
>>61994957
No.
>>61996017
It literally starts losing to rust in th third benchmark, how can you be so dumb?

If Apple don't care put in everything, just will be replace object c
