What is the /g/ recommended program to mirror folders? Pic related won't find my network folders when I run as administrator. I'm wondering if I'm better off using windows file history
A simple RAID1 solution ?

The NAS is set up in RAID1 I'm more concerned with having my desktop drives backed up to the NAS in RAID1
>>61983856
rsync
>>61983856
go to windows explorer and map the network drive to something like z:\share_name
remember to click "remember credentials"

I do have it mapped. I will try reseting the computer after I set up file history on the NAS, as the program works perfectly fine on the external drive I previously had the file history on

I dont know then.
shittorrent wont see my network drive when I first start it up. I have tested anything but I think if I open the share in windows exporer authorizing access for this session and then start the torrents it can save to the network share..
thats all I have for now

File History isn't a proper backup tool. It's more like git for dummies. The database goes into an inconsistent state whenever it prunes old files, and I believe you can also mess up the database just through regular filesystem operations as well. So sooner or later, you'll be stuck restoring directly from the backup folder, and you can't just use robocopy for that because File History simply renames old versions instead of moving them to another directory like git. File History is only good as a supplement to a regular backups.
Try Bvckup 2 since you're on Windows. I've had no problems backing up to a NAS with it, although I do occasionally have my backups interrupted by certain "unknown" network errors. Still waiting on a fix for that.
make a python script
