It's just an adapter without chips or logic, your motherboard still needs to support it. The speeds wont go down using an adapter.

Hi /spg/
I'm looking for a phone to replace my Moto X Pure
I find it perfect except the battery is dog shit and the camera is mediocre
I was looking at the Nubia z11 mini s but I'm worried that it won't have much support since it's chink shit and the only ROMs for it seems to be in Russian also it has a SD 625
What I'm really looking for is
>good battery life
>good camera
>Decent rom support or a decent upgrade path
>5.2" to 5.7"
>$300 USD (max 400 if it's REALLY worth it)
Is there and phone thats good enough or should I just save up for a Nubia Z17?
>>
>>61968361
no
>>
>>61968194
The question is, is it worth saving a few dollars for the risk of getting dick cancer? Well since it's only going on the outside it should probably be fine, you would probably see eventual skin problems quite fast.
Read the wiki though:
>Anything that goes in your ass, dick, or vagina. (Actually, properly shaped silicone/pyrex/steel is safe enough...)
So a steel one might be a better choice
>>
>>61968416
>So a steel one might be a better choice
>steel
>chink "steel"
>>
So I asked /spg/ about the minimum cheapest phone I can buy that fits the following requirements.
I just need a disposable phone to bring to sketchier parts of this world.

>can use Signal/Whatsapp
>decent battery life

One of the anons suggested this.
https://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_679695.html?wid=11

Thoughts?
>>
>>61968453

Got my James Donkey 112 mouse last night, and after a night and a bit of using it, I'd like to give my first impressions.
Sturdy, plastic build. The thumb buttons are a bit too far back; if they were a cm or two forward, they'd be perfect. The replaceable rubber grip things also interfere with the rear thumb button. I removed the thumb side grip for a little bit while testing the mouse out in some video games, and it was a much better feel with the thumb side grip gone. For the time being, I've put it back on and have gotten used to it. The sensor/tracking seems pretty solid. I use a wooden desk without a mouse pad, and it is just fine. It would probably be a bit smoother with a mouse pad, though.
I use a claw-like grip on mice, and the pinky side of my hand hits a little rounded, pointy edge. If the mouse was just one single piece, without the gap between the top and bottom, it would be much more comfortable.
The cable is of decent enough quality, and I like that you're able to turn off the LED lights on the thing.
It seem like the rubber grips will get sticky like those old madcatz controller grips and begin to disintegrate, but we'll see about that.
The image is obviously just some ad image that I looked up. For the $15 CDN (ordered it through amazon prime) I paid for this, it seems to be well worth it. (ordered it through amazon prime)
If anyone has any questions about it, I'll stick around to answer them. To anyone on the fence about it, it seems like it is worth the $10 USD you'd be paying.

Try some switches in a store and figure out if you prefer blues or browns or red's.

I ordered a random keyboard called Elephone Eleenter Game1 that I'm trying out now a few days ago. It's got blue switches from some unknown company called "Content" (That's what it says on the switches, anyway). They are just like the Cherry MX blue switches on my Duck Duck Shine keyboard. Will these switches last very long before they break? Who knows. Time will tell. The RGB lighting on the duck duck shine is better, it's brighter and shines more but the switches are basically the same.

I doubt you'll notice much difference between these Zorro switches or Gateron's or some random brand. But you will notice the difference between a blue-type clicky switch and a brown tactile switch and some linear red-type switch.

btw, if you're not a keyboard entusiast who has as many keyboards as shoes for some reason then you may want to just grab some expensive board with Cherry MX. You'll probably be using it for years and years. That being said, there's not much difference between some western brand keyboard and a $40 one from China - except that the one I bought may, perhaps, break tomorrow for all I know. Can't say much about longevity or wear and tear after a few days.

Hey /csg/,
I'd just like to tell you something I learned in my health class today. All you tea drinkers out there, who think they are getting great health benefits are idiots. You are drinking leaves, how is that healthy? Your just drinking chlorophyll!
90% of the people who drink tea on this site are just fucking CHINKERS. You drink tea just because the CHINKS do it. Well, the JAPS have you conned. The other 10% are just britfags, and you are excused, because you are naturally fucking morons. Tea is just a LEAF! Chinks aren't smart. You see how shitty their Yuan is? You think that someone, who can't even keep a good economy, has the intelligence to know how good tea is? Bullshit.

Lenovo Tab 4 Plus 8" is up for sale on a random aliexpress store. 299$ for the Wi-Fi version, 349$ for the LTE (chinese, no Band 20)

The faggot local stores here dont have the 8" version on sale because "8 inch tablets do not sell well" and if they do its probably gonna be 100$ more expensive so im thinking of buying from this one. The only thing that scary is that there is absolute 0 feedback from this store.

But its Ali, so ill get a refund if it turns out to be a hoax.

OrangePi Zero and ESP32 are the most recent ones I can think of.

recent as in, less than 3 months
I already got some OPi Zeros and a rtl-sdr. I'm thinking about buying a bunch of ESP8266/ESP32, though I have no idea what for...

anything "cool" could be useful, even usb logic analyzers, etc

USB TTL adapters that break out more than 5 pins got cheaper, e.g.:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/6Pin-USB-2-0-to-TTL-UART-Module-Serial-Converter-CP2102-STC-Replace-Ft232/32368076489.html

You'll want something like that if you want to use bare ESP modules.

I'd like to use it to charge my devices (phone, tablet, etc). I don't really mind if it takes a long time, but I know that some chargers are so weak that the device actually loses more power than what it gains.

>>
>>61984195
You just quoted things you think are wrong without any kind of argument.

And all of those are somewhat right.
Price and quality are of course related. Cheaper doesn't necessarily mean worse but if it's below a certain point you know they had to save on some things. For example safety.

"so low voltage", depends on the PSU of course but the normal wall wart SMPS will drop down the voltage when you attempt to draw higher current than it's capable of.

"housefire", can happen too. A cheap thing like that probably didn't bother with a proper fuse. If something fails it could lead to a component or wire passing a very high current, causing it to heat up a lot, possibly igniting something.
>>
>>61968515

Two months with the Redmi 4A, it's fine for light use. Can't VR or 3D games. Pokémon Go not available from Google store (device not compatible, don't know why).

Will install lineage as soon as it's available, and keep it as backup phone and for tinkering.
>>
>>61984461
70D is dated as hell. Might be nice if you find it for like $60 and can blow the rest on nice lenses, but otherwise I don't see why one would get it now.

Panasonic LX10 or similar would be nice if you somehow find it within your budget.

Most Xiaomi devices will not pass more sophisticated root checks and kernel checks some games deploy, Puzzles & Dragons Japan version is one of them. Pokemon Go only works on certain roms on xiaomi phones.
>>
>>61984734
Xiaomi routers get virtually no support, heck a lot of the damn things don't even have English firmware, it's fucking 2017 and most of them don't even have GBe.

Also fuck having to have a xiaomi account to even use the damn things.

MT7621A on the Xiaomi Router 3G means it will NEVER be supported.

Only Broadcom or Atheros ever get supported.

from a quick googling:
- xiaomi routers call home (with default firmware), and apparently inject ads, too...
- there are mods of the original firmware
- openwrt/lede do support some models, and the support is good. the routers used to have perf problems, but that was solved.

Read the thread you posted.
Still a plethora of fucking problems, even basic MAC cloning still having fucking problems.

Jumping from xiaomi firmware to some chink shit like PandoraBox is hopping from one botnet net to another very fucking buggy botnet.

All 4 routers on the OpenWRT list uses either the MT7620 or MT7628 with virtually the same PCB so it's more like 2 versions.

Enjoy having to register and jump through hoops to flash development firmware and root SSH.

Why someone would want a Ralink SOC when Atheros is widely available and cheap is beyond me. The flashable xiaomis have 3 10/100 ports and that's including the uplink port.
>>
>>61980808
>>61979679

>Why someone would want a Ralink SOC when Atheros is widely available and cheap is beyond me.
because those are more expensive? show me an 802.11ac/GbE atheros router that costs $35 or less...

I like Bluedio products but I'm never sure how they are going to sound like. First I got the T3 and they had buttblasting bass(to be expected), later I got the A2 and those have ear raping treble (advertised as natural sounding headphones), now I'm looking at the Faith2
