I recently got one for recording guitar and it's nice and noise-free and low latency. I dig it. Just be aware that its headphone output is very high output impedance; this isn't a problem for me since I plug my powered speakers into it. Anyways, Equalizer APO installs to it flawlessly and it measures well: https://nwavguy.blogspot.com/2011/02/behringer-uca202-review.html
Great little cheap device.
>>
>>61957679
well I mean to plug it into pc and listen to music 6 days a week, on the seventh I often do a live radio show and so far I made it with just software solutions but I think, as well as my listeners, that my mic could use some more sound
would it be suitable for that purpose, not recording as much as live broadcasting?

>WARNING, HIGHLY AUTISTIC QUESTION BELOW

I'm testing my new FiiO E10K dac with my old dt770's and noticed some crackling in
certain songs. I'm not sure if it's something on my end or part of the recordings.
Some songs sound perfectly clear and crisp at even the highest volume while on low
gain, but some other "crakle" at high volume. It's barely noticeable even then.

Does anyone hear a crakle at the 1:58 to 1:60 mark of this video? I hear it in all my
sources for this soundtrack, and all of them on the left speaker of my headphone.

Something relatively balanced and clean since I listen to lots of genres, but still involved and exciting. Considered HE400i, but it leaks too much. Considered HD600/650, but I'm afraid they are too relaxed and veiled. DT880 and AKG K712 are top my list

M100s (broke), HD558, M40x, currently AKG K240 which I like

I've heard the HE400i leaks way more than the other headphones I listed to the point where it sound like computer speakers. I'd rather not have that. I don't mind sound leak, but not that much since I don't live alone
>>
>>61960272
HD600s are not veiled, it's just a meme pushed by a couple of shit posters around here. It's got nice balanced treble and detail for most, but the HD650 exists if you're sensitive to treble.

Any opinions on the current MassDrop for a HiFi Man HE4XX? It's $160USD + shipping

I've been lusting for a set of Final Audio Pandora Hope/Sonorous VI's for nearly two years now but the MassDrop seems like a pretty good price. Allegedly the 4XX is comparable to the 400i if that helps.

I'm currently rocking a set of Ultrasone HFI-780's and I enjoy the crisp/detailed high end with a fairly tight bottom (although I think they've loosened up a fair bit with use over the years in regards to the tight thump of the bass).

I'm not totally sold on the open back design of the HE4xx, if the sound is much better I might still go for them however.
When I'm not using my phone I drive with a Schitt Vali V1 or my Sony F240 speaker amp.

They're bright and need a lot of EQ to fix. Also shitty hifiiman build quality and QC. Good luck dealing with mass drop and hifiman if something goes wrong.
>>
>>61960976
Yeah, i've had my K712's for 2-3 years and have replaced the cable twice already.

Stop shitposting, do you even own 400is? Cause I do and they sound nothing like the pic you posted.

Sure. I've owned the he-400s and I plan on getting either the he-400i or m1060s haven't decided yet.

Stop shitposting.

Anon who linked me to Superlux velour pads: thank you, saw them in the archive. I was too busy to check sooner.

pic and timestamp. Unless you're the anon who got a defective pair and hasn't returned them, then I don't care desu.

If that is you, stop making final decisions on having a defective pair.

400 and 400i are very different headphones. You're no better than the sennheiser shills, shilling headphones that you don't own. I've heard them. I own them. They have a massive peak in the treble that needs to be corrected for. The graph I posted shows that, although the upper mids i find don't reflect reality.
>>61965206
Can't bother with timestamp but here you go.

Ortho wall?
>>
>>61965333
I'm not sensitive to treble. They vaguely as trebly as the DT-880 with much more clarity. I'm just describing the sound signature.
>the way they measure isn't the way they sound
Strawman. You'll see on most graphs that they have a peak at 8K, and this is reflected in CSD graphs as well.
>Ortho wall
No, the 400i wall wasn't audible to me.

How is this specific to HD600?
As far as I can tell, it's just the headphone they used for the test.
>>
I've been using CAL! for 4+ years, I like them, but they start to show their age. I can replace them for 70$ or so, should I do that or is there something better in <200$ range?
>>
>>61966046
It applies to all headphones.
>>
>>61966581
MSR7s are pretty nice. Might be different from what you're used to.
>>
Stop me from pulling the trigger on dt770.
>>
>>61966822
It starts with H and ends with D600.
>>
>>61966822
You could consider the beyer custom one/custom studios if you want a closed headphone. If you don't require a closed headphone, the dt880 are generally considered as better.

I'm looking for something cheap that is comfortable to use for a long time, and relatively tough.

I've been using the JVC HA-S400 for a while, so I'm looking for something similar, around the 40 bucks range.
>>
>>61967928
Save up and get the DT880.
>>
>>61967985
The point of this is having something that I can mess around with (e.g. sleep with it), and possibly break it without caring much.

Go HD600. Good, durable, and all parts replaceable.

Aside from all the images out there online from people stretching the headband too far, why not try stretching one for yourself? Unless if you don't own one. Pic related is from rtings

>>61967928
If you want cheap and durable, then SHP9500S or save up for the HD 598 SRs

Nigga, the DT 880s aren't any better for his situation. Now stop sperging out like an autist and realize you don't actually own the headphones to prove anyone wrong with their snappable build quality

What worries me though is spare parts. If this happens to my HD600 (which I'm not about to try the flexibility of), at the very least I know I can get a new headband easily and cheaply.
