How long til this trend starts to become a thing here in 4chan?
4chan is too mainstream for edgy shit like that.
This is why we don't download garbage, kids.

You don't have to download anything
https://www.digitaltrends.com/web/javascript-malware-mobile/
>>61947956
The victims in the Kaspersky article downloaded RATs. A JavaScript DNS attack is not the same. It even goes after a different device, the router.

Oh yea for sure, I was just talking about streaming hacked webcams, not exactly the method of infection. Also a dns change attack would be more efficient than just infecting 1 pc.

>I was just talking about streaming hacked webcams, not exactly the method of infection.
Except that the hacked webcams require a method of infection avoided by not downloading garbage, and have nothing to do with the attack in that Digital Trends article. You were talking about something completely unrelated to both the thread and the reply.
>Also a dns change attack would be more efficient than just infecting 1 pc.
Efficient at what, more things completely unrelated to this thread? Altering a router's DNS behavior is not going to trend anywhere because it's not something an imageboard can all watch together on a YouTube stream.

What? You can control pretty much every device if you put some dynamic dns on the router connected to them. Then you restream the feed of the webcams/screens on YouTube.

>trend here
This site was hacking cams way back in 2005.
MSN, Yahoo, private web-streams.
This isn't a new thing.

Post link to hacked webcams so I can trolll those faggots

That trend died here years ago. How new are you?
>>61948892
I don't know any.
I've not actively done that shit in literally over a decade.
The only thing I have done that is close is looking at cameras that are publicly available to the web because webcam manufacturers are fucking dumb.
I miss the comfy /jp/ cam-viewing threads.

We talking about streaming hacked, personal webcams and sending people to troll the victim? That's new to me.
>>61949436
Not him but i've seen that several times in here, last time was maybe 5 years ago in /v/ i believe.
>>61949436
Yes.
Not only casual users, businesses as well.
SCHOOLS even.
School PA system, people streamed porn over it mid-class.

Also don't forget the time someone here hacked that Apple streaming event and posted STEVE JOBS JUST DIED on the ticker.
But then he made the mistake of opening it to everyone and some newfag posted /g/ and all the macrumor children have been here ever since.
and people think im strange for covering my laptop camera with tape... and exlclusively using linux... and not downloading software from untrusted sources... and having strong passwords... and paravirtualizing everything I do in Xen... and spending a day hardening my linux kernel after a fresh install... and buying embedded devices to build linux-from-scratch on to be my home firewall and router in place of the ISP's shitty hardware...
