I want to build a simple GUI on Linux for my program.
What is the easiest and lightweight method?
Glade? QT is bloat. What else?
Pls no browser/electron.

gtk

Qt isn't bloated if you know your shit, don't keep adding dependencies
Gtk fits into the DEs better, and performs quicker but good luck working with it, and enjoy the documentation
Gtk generally has nice bindings
Fltk with FLUID

Qt. GTK is objectively inferior in all points compared to Qt.
JavaFX.
OpenGL. I'll bet you're too scared to do it though.

Related, try Gambas

Racket's GUI libraries are nice.

Why not implement the whole thing with just X11 API calls at that point?

Linux is bloat. C++ is bloat. systemd is bloat.
All the good things in life are bloat.

Either gtk through glade or qt through qt creator. Anything else will look out of place or old.

if you are a gigantic faggot you can use winforms with mono

>systemd
>good
systemd is awful. It's absorbed way to many system services and it's basically just a tool for red hat to take over the GNU/Linux backend so they can try and gain more marketshare.

tk toolkit is the best and more portable way
wxwidgets
