Why can the first case fit a K701/2 but the second case cannot fit one at all (proven already with a pictured review)? I'm going to stick with the first one anyways, but I feel confused since second one looks bigger.

The roof for the second case is sloped down halfway, I'm guessing that's what ruins its fit for the AKG K701/2

Frequency response includes phase. Frequency response describes the linear entire system in terms of the variable called frequency. More importantly, using an equalizer will increase the phase accuracy. That is, assuming you are equalizing to remove coloration.

>>61922720
Please take a little effort to make the impedance calculations yourselves.
Even if you ignore the phase angle, look at the voltage drop.

Philips shp5400. I bought blind just because they were cheap, but good enough for me and they lasted years. Now I wanna look up my options before committing, even if I have a piddly budget.

Save your money and listen to nothing until you can afford a pair of Sennheiser HD600s. HD650s are also acceptable and patrician. In fact, anything in the same price range that measures the same as 600/650s and also ticks all the boxes like comfort, durability, style, and support, get my seal of approval. I just find 600s are the gold standard to which everything else is compared.

Sony MDR-1a possibly. $200, comfy, look nice, good build, and have a relaxed warm sound. Normally MSR7 is the go to rec for portable closed, but they are kind of bright, not as comfy and not as well built, albeit it has a tighter more detailed sound. It's up to you

It's not that. The thing is, Sennshill can be intelligent if he wants. I've seen moments of clarity from him, where he stops shitposting and says something that's factually accurate. But then he just gets super tilted sometimes and floods the general with low-hanging fruit like some autistic child throwing a tantrum. It's like watching British cringe comedy whenever he does it. 668b clamp is stronger then the 350, as it should be since there is no proper headpad to support it and the wings do jack all. Both earpads are small but while still a tight fit your ears will still fit inside but would feel the inside walls. I'm using the el cheapo $6 valor pads from Amazon on the 668bs and it's more that they fit on your ears then your ears fitting on them. Valor pads on both of them are too scratchy for my taste. The 350s aren't stock as I did that port sticker removal mod on them. The 668b sounds more open but highs sound thin and tin-y and the 350s sound more full bodied and just overall better. ~$50 better? Eh depends, but I'd say so.

I live in a shithole so i don't have a very large selection of audio stuff. I'm looking for a new pair of in-ear headphones that are good for both podcasts and music. This is the selection that i have in the 80-100€ price range.
Sennmemer IE 60, Grado iGi/e, Sennmemer momentum iem, Beyerdynamic dtx 101 iE, Klipsch R6, Hifiman re-400, Shure SE215, AKG N20
>>
>>61931582
I really don't understand the 6xx appeal. Even by massdrops own measurements it seems like the 6xx is basically rejected 650 drivers. Notice how they won't even post channel matching and left and right graphs, probably because the channel matching is straight up awful.
>>
>>61931602
And HD650 drivers matching isn't perfect already.

Oops, forgot to ask a question. From that list which one is most suitable for both podcasts and music?
>>

HD6XX is the exact same as the HD650.
>>
it's tinnitus the actual ringing that comes for a few seconds (rarely every now and then) that is undoubtedly audible.

or some ambient ringing that i cannot really describe as audible

because I have both, and i'm not sure if it's just the first that is actually tinnitus and the second one is normal, or if both are signs of tinnitus.
>>
>>61931713
then why does it measure differently, significantly worse?
>>
>>61931748
You're comparing two different measurements. The 6XX has the same drivers and same build quality as the 650, and sounds the same.

HD6XX is definitely not same as HD650 sonically.
HD650 has better resolution, weighty tone, better headstage and scale, dirtier bass though, better edge definition, more agreeable decay. The differences might be due to HD6XX being new with not more than 4-5 hours of use. But I do not remember HD650 changing sound over time. Anyways the difference are more than subtle.

what do? This thing only has a USB input, coax out, line out and 3,5mm out.
Is there any possibility to connect TV > 3.5mm-USB converter > dac
what about TV > 3.5mm > PC > USB out > dac

Look at graphs. There are differences too. If you don't want to believe.
>>
>>61931861
Could be something as simple as the condition of the earpads causing them to measure or sound slightly different. If you take a look at Solderdude's modding guide for the HD650, you can see what a difference that makes.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/d9kb768up61eh3b/HD650+modifications.pdf

I don't recommend actually doing any of the modifications shown in this guide, however there are many different measurements included in it.

What kind of headphones do I need for absolutely no microphonics?
>>
>>61932947
For IEMs, you can look for a braided cable and that will reduce microphonics to almost zero.

Currently 598s, been happy with them but they're deteriorating. Considered replacing them like for like but if there's something out there that's a little better I don't mind paying extra for it

Replace the worn earpads on your 598 instead, as well as the headband cushion if necessary.

> I hate sounding like a shill

I know what you mean, I was thinking that myself as I posted it, but they really are top tier, for the money. I love the design of them too, and I have the silver cable to top it off. Aesthetic as fuck.
>>
>>61933393
Sorry I should've clarified, it's the headband itself that's deteriorating. It's starting to feel very brittle when adjusting and I'm concerned it's going to break soon. Not sure I have the tools or skills to replace the entire thing myself.

But yeah, if it was superficial damage I'd swap the pads out I've been happy with them.

598SR is very cheap at the moment, did they change anything beside the headband and colour?

There's a new series of Sennheiser headphones that replaces the 598's generation. HD579 is the best one of that series, an improvement over HD598, and pretty competitively priced.
There's why HD598sr.

Is the Schiit Fulla 2 a noticable upgrade over the fiio e10k?
>>
>>61933941
Yes. Specs, features and, according to many an anon around here that owns both, also sound.
>>
>>61933941
The monoprice headphone dac/amp would be a better value right now. More power (wall wart).
>>
>>61933747
Pad swap + EQ makes them amazing.
>>
>>61933941
While yes it is, for the money, the monoprice desktop amp on sale is by far the best value for an amp right now.
>>
>>61933987
one of the main reasons I want the fulla 2 is because it has a 3.5mm passthrough for speakers that gets turned off when I plug in headphones, does the MP one have that?
>>
>>61934014
It does even better. The monoprice one has RCA outs for speakers
>>
>>61933893
>HD579 is the best one of that series, an improvement over HD598
In what respect? I'm struggling to find comparisons and just looking at numbers it seems like a downgrade. Am I missing something? And if I were to go that route, what makes the 579 better than the 599? Or are you purely talking about price/performance on the new range because both are well under budget and a £30 gap isn't going to bother me
>>
>>61934279
FR is improved.
Watch/read HD599 reviews.
HD579 is newest, has fewer reviews, but is considered an improvement on HD599 by the few reviewers who tried both. Fr-wise they do look literally identical, but the HD579 is also way cheaper than the HD599, which pretty much seals the deal.
If you consider HD579 pricing, then DH598 being cheap makes sense.

Technically yes, but unlike the Fulla it doesn't automatically mute the passthrough when headphones are plugged in, instead both output devices play audio simultaneously.
