How many years until devices can connect to the Internet on their own (no router, ISP, etc.)?
>>61920845
Probably about 12.
I'm an optimist guy, so 11.
What?
>>61920845
I'd say about a dozen years, OP.
I'm pessimistic. Probably about 13.
10, maybe a couple more. We have HAM radio which can do it.
radio transmitters require loads of power. all transmitters do, really. chip power consumption is getting better fast, but the laws of physics are still there.
>no isp
that's a real pipe dream.
>>61920845
Fuck off Richard, piped piper is not real
>>61920845
stupid kitty, the window is closed
12, obviously
>>61920845
>no router
Without ISP, 12 would be reasonable
Without routers however, you're looking at at least 13 man.
you can use wi-fi devices in ad-hoc mode literally right now

I doubt you know how the internet works
