At this point, I believe AMD doesn't give a shit about making a consumer grade GPU. They're just pumping out mining cards for dipshits who buy them in thousands and that's it.
It's as if morons are a more reliable source of income than discerning consumers, or something...

Wait for drivers(tm).
say it with me
>500W
>1070 performance
>>61907407
those are actually terrible hashrates with Vega's power draw
>>61908061
Miners who don't pay for electric probably don't care just as long as it mines faster.
What exactly impacts hash rates? Why do AMD cards do better in these situations?

???
>>61907407
wait, GTX1070 get's better hashrates than GTX1080?
>>61908751
Yes.
>>61908786
Isn't GTX1070 just a cut down GTX1080? Why would it be faster?

ETH mining is all memory bandwith & memory latency.
G5X has like REALLY shit latency.
>>61907407
If that was the case they would have fixed Vega 10's raw memory bandwidth before they hard launched it. Vega 56 and 64 have the same ETH hashrate as Vega FE, proving that there is still a 20% raw memory bandwidth regression vs. Fiji. If RTG fixes that, expect hashrates to substantially increase.

You can troll all you want, doesn't change the fact that it's already sold out everywhere 10 minutes after it launched. No, it wasn't a paper launch.

Yeah it sucks but what are you going to do? They can't keep miners from buying them. That's how the market works. Just be happy AMD is getting pumped full of cash for future competition?
