single point of failure

What other solution do you have smartass?
It's not realistic to have and remember shitload of passwords for all your websites without password manager.
Using the same password for everything is much more insecure than keeping keepass database with multiple passwords.
I'm not autistic enough to note all my passwords on paper and read it from there every single time.

Not him but you must have a pretty shit memory if you can't even remember your own password.

How do you breathe?
>>

have a system for creating passwords that you can follow to find your password for a certain site but without introducing a single point of failure (the master password in the case of the password manager)

OP here, I agree with you. In the past I was saving all my passwords in a .txt document but I thought I needed an upgrade.
That's why I asked for recomendations.

no, kpcli

my company requires me to have 50+ passwords for the ssh keys that we use on our clients servers
and no, i can't have to same password on all of them or use some retarded shit like "companyXpassword..."
>>
sha256(fullname + passphrase + sitename)

Not as secure as a proper password manager but very portable as it only requires a SHA-256 hashing utility.

Literally no reason to use this over KeepassX

KeePassX is not updating regularly anymore... Besides, KeePassX has less features than KeePassXC
>>
Bitwarden
>>
why not use the regular Keepass? Are you retarded?

What's wrong with plain old keepass?

pass, it's a shell script which manages gpg-encrypted passwords so in case the manager itself falls off the face of the earth you still have access to your passwords.

Keepass is great with the firefox integration. The Firefox integration is going to be downgraded soon, so I don't know how that will work out.
