Is this WeChat shit safe? I've heard that the Chinese government basically owns it and uses it to go through your computer/phone due to their privacy laws.

If you're concerned about your privacy or safety, you should use open source End-to-End encrypted messengers.
Signal and Wire come to mind.

unless you're in china there's no reason to use Wechat.

But I need this chink shit to sign up to chink websites.

Then I wouldn't sign up to chink websites that require it.
Out of curiosity, what kind of websites? Dating, or what?
>>61896546
Then why the fuck are you going to chink sites?
I've used Wechat before while in china, it's literally collects all your info, including id, credit cards, you name it.
Chinese people don't really care about their privacy like the west does.

Importing, B2B websites for my business. gongchang.com to be specific.

Well what about QQ Chat? Is that any better?

Nope. any chink site or app lacks privacy, like I said chinese really don't care about privacy,

In that case, I would get an 80 dollar laptop that barely runs Windows 7 on ebay, and I would install the WeChat app to that for the purposes of creating an account, and literally nothing else. Consider it a tiny business expense, probably tax deductible.
