Here, I tried to take your advice. Had to cancel a few development ideas and rework ant previous contracts established in order to pass this.

One wall is hard plastered brick, the other three are drywall. This room was an addition onto a brick house. Because it's in the back of the house, and has the brick wall, the only place sound really leaks into the rest of the house is through the door. The room could definitely use some acoustic treatment though. Behind the drywall on the 2 exterior walls there's insulation. The wiring isn't old, just shit because none of the first floor isn't grounded. Not sure what the previous owner was thinking when they decided to do the addition without upgrading the wiring. That's on the list, but out of scope and budget currently. I was thinking of throwing in some GFI outlets in the meantime, but that's a shit solution.
