Yup. I thought I could install arch Linux on my old surface pro. Completely fucked up it up it won't boot. Tried to install majaro instead and now it just pulls up the grub command script. I don't even know what to do because I already made the partitions and everything I just did something wrong towards the end of installing it.

Unless there's a bug. Anyway, it's not bad advice because that feature is probably not used by him anyway, and updating your firmware/BIOS is just basic maintenance.
