I don't think so, but I have no idea why it doesn't work in D3D9 either, so I guess anything's possible.

>>61867394
Yeah, D3D9. The D3D version doesn't matter too much because all D3D is responsible for is flipping the OpenGL-rendered image to the screen, but D3D11 interop might be useful for things like hwdec and it would be good to have feature parity between the D3D11 presenter in the angle backend and dxinterop, since currently angle has a bunch of tunable settings that dxinterop doesn't have and there's no good reason for this.

This should be almost as fast as FSRCNN_4_2_1 and I think it could be used with current mpv, but gen.hs doesn't support sizes bigger than 4 for the shrinking/expanding layers.
>>
>>61868149
If dxinterop works for you, you should probably use it. dxinterop and win should always have the same features/performance, but dxinterop has better vsync behaviour because it uses DirectX for presentation and Microsoft don't care about making WGL work well with the compositor. The only problem with dxinterop is that on some hardware (like switchable laptops) it doesn't work at all. It relies on the WGL_NV_DX_interop OpenGL extension, which seems to just be broken for some people. ANGLE is fine too, but it's not compatible with some newer features like DR and compute shaders.

With MPV I need to open MPV and then open another folder independent of the program and then drag files over. Versus just having an in-program file browser.

I'm not sure what about MPV is supposed to be special, but it certainly isn't accessibility. And if there is something special that the people that made it are particularly proud of, the lack of accessibility certainly isn't aiding in making anyone aware of it.

Then again, I'm also an asshole.

PSA for anyone using a Nvidia GPU with the proprietary driver on Linux:

Make sure you open the Nvidia Settings application and change: GPU0->PowerMizer->Preffered Mode

I forgot to mention, the late frames are occurring with just video-sync=display-resample enabled. Removing interpolation from the config makes no difference.

I also tried video-sync=audio and video-sync=display-resample-vdrop, but it also made no difference.

To remove 3:2 pulldown judder? The same reason you'd use interpolation on any display that can't run at a multiple of 24?

I don't see what being a laptop has to do with using or not using interpolation.

There's counter-intuitive and then there's anti-intuitive. Anti-intuitive programs are programs made by little faggots who decide people should read through bible-length manuals to be able to use shit.

I looked everywhere for configuration files thinking maybe it did an AppData thing. Nothing. Just fucking nothing. It's just an mpv.exe with no ability to figure out what the fuck it's doing, and then it dumped a bunch of shit in the System32 folder when I tried to update it.

>Maybe the guy executed the updater in a shell that was in system32?
This is wat I thought too. It supposed to double-click the updater.bat

If the default shell path is system32 & you drag the updater.bat to it, it will download straight to system32

mpv doesn't come install with these optiosn for ffmpeg, which would mean he would have to build it.

What actions did you take to accomplish this task? Describe step by step, click by click.

Right click. Run as Administrator.
>>
>>61880322
I had that happen once as well, though I have no idea how the fuck I managed to do it. Only noticed after a couple of months when I wanted to use youtube-dl and it being broken because of it using the one in system32.
That updater script is weird.

There's your problem. When you run something as admin the current working directory is set to system32.

You probably don't need to run it as admin, but if you do, then the correct procedure would be to open an admin cmd, and then run it after changing directories to where the script is.
>>
>>61880455
The problem is that if you don't run it as admin, it says in red letters that you're running script without administrator privileges, implying you should run it as an admin. Even though it works just fine if you don't, for me at least.
>>61880460
There has to be a way to specify the install location even if you right click it. If it only installs to whatever the shell default is, then it should be changed.

I don't know about the windows shell, but in a posix compliant shell you could just take the directory path from $0 (or argv[0] in a C program) and download to the same directory as the script is located in.
>>
>>61880556
Yeah, it's the same in Windows. You can
pushd %~dp0
to change to the directory containing the script.

Unrelated question. I want to switch to gnu linux. Which distro will be the best for me? What distro haasn is using?
>>
>>61881407
gentoo

No it didn't. You're a lying sack of shit.
>>
>>61878809
That should have been obvious at “system32”. Why the fuck would mpv touch system32? mpv is cross-platform, it doesn't even KNOW about system32.
>>
>>61881845
haasn literally installed gentoo?
>>
>>61878872
mpv doesn't have an updater. Why the fuck would mpv auto-update itself? That's the job of the package manager
>>
>>61880229
shinchiro has fuck-all to do with MPV and sourceforge is known for distributing malware. Good job fucking up your PC. I hope all your money gets stolen.
>>
>>61881981
Windows doesn't have a package manager by default, so this Windows build has one for mpv build in basically. You seem really stupid to be honest.

Yes.

Chocolatey?

What is microsoft even doing?

No wonder madvr cannot compete...

W-what if im too stupid for gentoo? Which is the best for newfag but willing to learn?
