Its widely used for example in cellular networks, where terminals inside the network have only IPv6.

no reason to leave ipv4 addresses can still be bought so there was no reason to force to v6
also that google/social media hubs didnt adopt it immediately so no one else cared.
https://www.opennic.org/ recommends me ipv6 addresses, does that mean that my machine uses ipv6 exclusively?
