>Ocumetics Bionic Lens could give you vision 3x better than 20/20
Does that mean 4K will not be enough?
Not giving them clicks. If this is a simple zoom thing, then it's mostly useless. I'm pretty sure you can't just increase visual acuity beyond human limits without actually changing the amount of rods and cones in your retina.
>tfw 4k already isn't enough for my hyper eyes
And if you tripple those you need to tripple the amount of nerves and the receiving/processing braincells.
Zoom would still be nice though, although most things I'd like to do with it wouldn't be very good.
a hearing aid dumbass. They make them. You get surgery to install the receiver part inside your ear (connects to where the hearing hairs are/would be), then wear the mic/transmitter (some even have bluetooth connection for music/audio playback).
I know a math graduate who unironically thought he could do this, and put an absurd amount of time into the task.
I told him about the pigeonhole principle. I think it broke his heart.
>you need to tripple the amount of nerves and the receiving/processing braincells.
You wouldn't need to do that. We have a very high density of rods in a specific point in our eyes, getting more light to that part would probably help already.
Nerves would grow and adapt by themselves as you try to push more information through them. The vision center of our brain would adapt and grow more synapses. That part wouldn't be a problem, the only real problem is getting that information into the relevant nerves, because you are still right, ultimately, we are limited by the amount and quality of light sensors in our eyes.
No matter how sharp the lens is, it will be limited by the rather shit resolution of the retina.
I can imagine a lens with better low light performance (ie: bigger aperture) though.
Or a zoom lens.
Where have you been for the last decade? This tech is super old.
Protects your hearing from sounds above a certain db level, and enhances quiet sounds so they're more audible to you.
>put on -1.25 contacts
>have better than 20/15 vision

>-8 on the other
