Has your company joined the growing number of companies who are migrating their clients and services away from Google?

He didn't have to delve into the politics but he's right and you're a fucking idiot. If you think switching over is as simple as flicking a switch you really shouldn't be here.

When your company has a government backed monopoly and your services are required for basic functions in the modern world, then constitutional protections should apply. Same as ISPs, schools, and universities. Never mind the fact that certain classes of people are protected from persecution while others aren't, yet they all pay the same taxes despite one not being represented.

Google, Youtube, and Facebook should be treated as utilities at this point.

Haven't used anything of those companies in over 10 years. Your argument is shit.

You seek to put distance between yourselves and conservatards because you are afraid that people will see it's the same system serving slightly different oligarch interests. gb2r

They didn't, anyone who says they did it's a student or neet who has never had a job and doesn't realize all companies have a corporate code of conduct to follow in the work place. The same thing would happen anywhere.

Don't believe me, email it around your company and see how long you have a job.

Nobody argues Google's right to fire Damore.
The firing of Damore was the tipping point, alot of people have problems with Google pushing its political agenda, attempts at manipulating information and misusing its power as a search engine, and censorship of non liberal views in its websites.

>Google’s new search protocol is restricting access to 13 leading socialist, progressive and anti-war web sites
>New data compiled by the World Socialist Web Site, with the assistance of other Internet-based news outlets and search technology experts, proves that a massive loss of readership observed by socialist, anti-war and progressive web sites over the past three months has been caused by a cumulative 45 percent decrease in traffic from Google searches.
>The drop followed the implementation of changes in Google’s search evaluation protocols. In a statement issued on April 25, Ben Gomes, the company’s vice president for engineering, stated that Google’s update of its search engine would block access to “offensive” sites, while working to surface more “authoritative content.”
I bet many other sites experienced such loss. I wonder what happened with 4chan statistic.
Google must die.

Christ the USA sounds like the worst place to work. No mandatory minimum leave and at will employment? What the fuck? If I didn't know better I'd assume someone was describing the working conditions of a Chinese sweatshop.
>>
>>61854900
Google has a monopoly and and a massive userbase. If they're going the political way and start silencing opinions they don't agree with as a company we're in for a bad time.
Am I seriously replying to a leftist who thinks it's alright for a giant corporation to have that kind of power?
>>
>>61858887
I understand that they fired the guy, despite the fact that I agree with his arguments. What I don't agree with is the manipulation of information by changing search results, and the boycotting of certain Youtube channels by preventing the channels from getting income from ads or even outright suspending and banning the channels.
>>
>>61865190
What's even better is they're voting for more capitalism and social policies, then complaining when corporations don't run their interests.
>>
>>61865389
Oops, I meant more capitalism and less social policies.
