Use ST from suckless.Its code is small and simple and most functionalities you'll want are either already built in or can be added trough patches.

Xfce4 builds on the already excellent gnome terminal. I can't imagine any major features missing from it. Urxvt is okay, but to truly make the most of it you'd need knowledge of Perl, otherwise it has fewer features than xfce4/gnome terminal. The major draw is its lightness but those mentioned before are light enough in my opinion. St is barebones as well and in my experience I couldn't get the delete key working even after patching it, so I don't think it's worth it either.
