Do you tap or press your touchpad in order to click/right-click?
>inb4 owning a laptop faggot
When i press it the wohle pad goes down a few milimeters.
I never press it, just tapping with one, two, or three fingers for the diferent mouse buttons.
I got physical mouse buttons right below my touchpad.

I've got physical buttons above my touchpad and I use the trackpoint.
When i do use it, i click. But all of the tasks i use my laptop for can be performed with keyboard only, so i rarely use it.

At least your straight in it's place. My t440s's touchpad does not work if I press it on the left side because it's not right in its place, it's lower. Tried to put it back at it's place, but it's just the same.
Any tips?
For left-click and right-click I tap or click, I have right-click set to click-only because I use three fingers for right-click and three finger tap on the top half of the trackpad as a shortcut to Mission Control.

The t420 touchpad fits in the new ones
neither, i don't like button-less trackpads

only because you can't afford them lmaoooooooo
>>61847406
what?
are they more expensive or something?
>>61847411
theyre only on nonshit laptops
>>61847421
that's unfortunate

I have tap-to-click off because it's a nuisance when typing. So I click.

Press. I don’t have the one with a taptic engine, and tapping it causes for a lot of missclicks.

I was thinking about buying the T450s one. I guess the T420 is cheaper, am I right?
>>61846477
I use a TrackPoint.

Dunno, i own t440p i7
>>61846477
I don't even touch it. I use a mouse like a proper human being.
>>61846998
Nice pube
>>61847590
that other anon is talking out of his ass
you can swap in the t450s trackpad no problem, t420 uses a completely different chassis and parts
>>61846477
Call me old fashioned but I just press the button.
>>61846477
When I get a laptop the first thing I do is disable "tapping". That shit always works perfectly whenever you DON'T want it to, and when you actually want it to work it does nothing at all. I'd much rather have physical buttons, thank you very much.
>>61847178
my t450 touchpad is slightly angled and dipped in on one side since i dropped it
>>61847590
The T420 touchpad doesn't fit in the T440 case. Just get a T450 Touchpad.
>>61846477
tap click, two finger tap right click
>>61846477
I press the buttons next to it
>>61846477
i have disabled all those annyoing tap features. they always open menus or trigger some retarded function in firefox that opens some random url in a new tab or goes to the previous page.
