Well, voice -transmutation- is very simple. Women have a smaller voicebox and a smaller mouth. Therefore, in order to sound like a woman, you'll have to simulate their anatomy, and luckily that is pretty easy once you grasped the basic concepts.

Voice, and any other sound we hear, is characterised by pitch, volume, and timbre. Timbre is extremely important, and it's the one thing that makes the difference between a squeaky mickey mouse male and a real woman. All men can reach a natural woman pitch quite easily, so the real work comes at the timbre.

Men have a rumbly sound because their resonance chamber is in the chest, not in the head (which is the resonance chamber for women). Try to imagine your voice's origin when you talk. Put your hand on your chest, and you can feel how it vibrates. Now, try to "move" your voice upwards, until you feel that you are speaking -from the head-. Don't worry if you can't do it at first, you'll be able to master it with enough pratice.

Another important thing is lifting your adam's apple. There are lots of muscles in our throats that do that already, and we need to learn how to control them willingly. Try to swallow. Then swallow again, slowly. See how your adam's apple is being lifted? That's all. Focus on which muscles move it upwards, and try to keep it there. No hands, that'd be cheating (or it could even result in harming your throat!). This is the hardest thing to master, once you can lift your adam's apple with ease, without swallowing or anything, you'll be close to achieving your female voice. Lifting your adam's apple makes your voicebox smaller, thus adjusting your timbre to a more female one. But we're not done yet!

When it comes to pitch, try to lift your voice's pitch until you feel a subtle crackling in it. That is the beggining your falsetto range. Don't ever try to go above it. Keep your voice at the limit of your falsetto, and try to adjust it a bit until it feels natural and not tiring to talk at this pitch. Done! Now the pitch should be in the female range.

After all these you should work on the breathy-ness of your voice. Women talk breathier than men, and men talk a lot more -pronounced- than women. Bring your hands to your mouth, and try to blow warm air as if you're trying to warm yourself in a chilly winter night outside. Then, try to make a slight *aah* sound, while still blowing warm air in front of your hands. Try to balance the airflow with the volume of your voice, and voila, you've achieved a natural breathy voice.

Add inflections too, end every sentence a bit like a question, and use a sing-songy voice while talking, don't speak in a monotone voice like all men do.

There are many more things related to voice training, but the basics have been covered here. A natural voice can only be achieved through practice, but in an year or so, your voice will sound like a regular female's. After that you can use some software in order to push the boundaries further into making your voice sound like an anime girl's, but the foundation has to be done, and that foundation means achieving a natural female voice.

Quick tips:
- drink lots of water while training.
- don't clean your throat, drink water! If throat-clearing really is necessary, do it very gentle, like the true lady you are!
- don't overdo anything. If your voice feels tired don't continue the training, let a few days pass, and keep your voice relaxed.
- practice makes perfect when practice IS perfect!

because software can only modify pre-existing, real-life, already-recorded audio. If your voice featured rumbles and lack of inflections, no FX added over it will get rid of that.

You need to get rid of stuff that your voice has, not to add FX over it. It's like trying to get rid of a bad smell. No quantity of perfume will make it all smell like a field of flowers, you'll need to get rid of the smell from the source, not hide it with a ton of FX over it.

if you continously talk in a girl voice for a few years, then yes, it's harder to return to your old voice, but still pretty easy, you'll have to de-train it for a few weeks.

But if you're like OP and only use your girl voice sometimes, then you're all good.

Eventually, deep learning stuff should be able to directly transform a male voice to a female voice, with inflections included.
