Is wanting to build a "super powered" computer worth it?
I bought a prebuilt Gaming PC a few years ago and it worked great(only has a 660Ti) but now I want to go crazy and buy a Titan X, get water cooling, buy a 144Hz monitor, and get all these expensive shit. But is it actually worth the price?
Mac Pro or wait for the new iMac pro.
Only right choice.

No, if you want to gaym just settle for a 1080ti and leave the Titan X to retards that have money to blow on stupid shit. Not sure if water cooling and 144Hz are memes or not.

I play mostly FPS games so a higher refresh rate is almost needed.
My only issue with shelling out a good amount of money for a new PC is knowing that most of the stuff I buy would need to be upgraded in two years. technology is moving quickly so would a 1080ti even be good in 2019?

If Nvidia doesn't gimp it with the new drivers it should still be pretty capable for a few years. Plus, what guarantees you the Titan will still be good in 2019 while the 1080ti won't? By not buying a Titan you're saving money today and you'll be saving it in the long run as well...

No, you childish shit. Just get a 1080 or something, get decent opt fans and install a stick of RAM or two. Water cooling is a /v/-tier meme

You should be banned from /g/. White metal toys are not technology.
