Probably just what you can learn in a weekend from a mentor.
They are probably going to include lots of dumb application problems to waste your time. You will probably also learn stuff you will never (need to) use.
I've never formally taken a course but it should probably be pretty easy d e s u.

You'll get what you put into it. If you finish the semester without a good understanding of all the different types of 'JOINS', and without setting up at least one type of replication/clustering, you are cheating yourself - regardless of what the class material covers.

Normalization and nosql muh boy, then you'll need to start learning js for the MEAN stack to get a job that will allow you to have your ears gauged. Then you should learn PL/SQL and get a real job instantly in something outside of web. Then you'll bring in that /based/ DBA income and go home on time every day, with a company phone so they KNOW they can get ahold of your ass because of corporate redtape.
Do yourself a favor and spend some time really practicing subqueries and how to transform aggregation queries into subqueries and vis versa. Also, REALLY learn outer joins and understand how to convert between an outer join and a "where not exists" query. Also, learn how fucking nulls are treated in SQL, and spend some time learning RA and understand transaction isolation levels. Nigger
