How much of a botnet is it? How much should I worry if they have my real IP linked to chatlogs and PMs?
It's not just them but all their partners who aren't disclosed that get access to the same private information.
It's very likely they also keep voice chat logs so speaker recognition can be attempted.
Basically it's grade A+ botnet running straight from China.
They sell your information. They started banning anyone who would type "kys" in chats. They are soon going to get rid of all the lolicon and questionable content of NSFW rooms because it does not look good to the people willing to buy the data. Stay far away from this shit.

Source?

I was in a room like that a few months ago, and chatted for about a week saying and sharing some explicit things. The account I made had nothing to do with me and I used a throwaway email, but my real (dynamic) IP is still linked to all those logs. I'm just wondering if there have been any examples of logs getting leaked and traced back to people.

The logs they store are not encrypted, so it shouldn't be hard at all to leak everything.
Basically presume that in the future your shit will be leaked.

Time to kms I guess, I thought if all they had that was personally identifying was an IP that changed months ago having posted in an ERP server for a few days wouldn't be life ruining in the future.

How is this a source?
Seems you're reverse shilling by not providing evidence

According to their privacy policy, they have the ability to store all audio communications for an undisclosed amount of time, so quite a botnet.

You can form the picture from several encryption related answers on plebshit and their suggestion system. Realy encryption only happens between client and server, there is no end to end encryption so it gets decrypted server side anyways. They never disagreed that logs are stored encrypted so it's pretty evident that they are not encrypted.

Just read their privacy policy.
>Information we collect may include but not be limited to username, email address, and any messages, images or other content you send via the chat feature.
Pretty damn clear to me. Just ignore the "may" and "but not be limited to", because thats just bullshit.
>>61785155
Doesn't say anything about IPs
>>61785171
>thinks IP isn't included in the "not limited to"
>thinks with his dick first and then scrambles to clean up the mess
Maybe if ya cared about your freedom you'd be able to fap in peace and not scramble looking for a way out.

Look up what Jason Citron did with OpenFeint, and the future of Discord should be clear to you.
Sage in captcha

At the time I wasn't thinking of that possibility, but I guess I'll just change ISPs
>>61785257
That won't matter. They'd know who had X IP at that time and it'd be you. So, if for whatever reason it was/is leaked, you are the one involved since it takes the IP down. And even more info, so it is even more targeted at you. Just deal with your mistakes of being a degenerate and disregarding freedom to think with your dick. Because nothing you do now will change the fingerprint of you they have there.

This turned from a nice discussion about the privacy risks of Discord to a not-so-nice discussion about how to hide your kiddy porn surprisingly quickly.

So what am I supposed to do? Just hope that my 150 odd messages don't stand out too much when the 50 billion message database gets leaked?
>>61785366
Yeah. That is literally your only option. Better hope it doesn't get leaked. It's your fault for being a retard and doing sketchy shit. Even more for doing said sketchy shit on a service whose policies clearly state they datamine you. Oh, ya didn't read all that stuff, did you? :^)
>>61785403
I was wrong. I guess you can pray that every method they and their affiliates used to store your data get destroyed.

Just don't use it unless you really have to.

Private conversations have already been leaked in clear text when cloudflare had a memory leak bug in their reverse proxies for 7 months.
