Fedora is significantly better if you're using GNOME.

just get whatever works for you, m8.
Ubuntu works for me, it feels comfy and hasn't _really_ let me down yet.

Ubuntu is very popular and has support for many programs and software and many gaymes
But, to be honest
Everyone knows it's crap

>Everyone knows it's crap
Why exactly, m9? It literally just works. Probably just like openPEPE and fedora. I just got used to ubuntu and know where I can get everything I need and how to configure shit

for me, openSUSE has always been a better choice because it just feels like a more complete system.
It's very stable and has YAST which provides a GUI for a lot of system settings.
But be ready for a lot of old packages because openSUSE it trying to be a stable system. It has Ubuntus like PPA's, though, so not a big problem.
There is also Tumbleweed which is a rolling distro but I haven't used it because rolling releases are for kids. Also I don't really want to reinstall Nvidia drivers after every kernel update.
Fedora is a lot less bloated. Though, I'm not sure that it's a good thing because I like my system to get out of my way and let me do my business but with Fedora I always find myself missing some packages that I need so I have to loss time on installing them. That's said - latest Fedora release feels very snappy.

Yast, it makes maintaining the os very fucking easy and comfy, they even have some kind of "Control Panel" where you can fix fonts, sound, keyboard, etc
The package manager on yast is awesome, you can have many repos without fear that is going to overlap each other, the own program gives you solutions and easy fallback if something goes wrong the only thing that i dont like its that there is no NVIDIA drivers on Tumbleweed, but at least they give you the latest Nouveau drivers has possible

Whatcha want to customize? Like autism ricing shit? Then you might be better of with killing yourself.
OpenSUSE gets 2 years of updates on non-LTS releases, Fedora only 6 months.
I don't update to a new release as soon as it comes out so I prefer SUSE.
Also Yast is real nice.

This, ftp, samba, nfs, vpns, vnc and pretty much anything network related is piss easy to setup in Suse.
