And most of PC game revenue is from MMORPG.

For communication and media consumption, yeah. Development, office work, art and gaming is still on PC since smartphones only have very basic media editors and are limited to shitty mobile games and emulating older console games. Until Google makes their Android/ChromeOS hybrid and makes it popular or until android becomes more popular on PC and pushes developers to make better apps for it this will always be the case.

This one https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/google-cancelling-andromeda-chrome-os-android-mashup/ ??
Hybrid shit already exist.

Oh well. I guess if fuchsia gets android-tier market share (if it even gets released) it will be another step towards ending desktop PC. Android is currently the closest to getting desktop features in your smartphone.

I thought tablets were dying...

This was actually supposed to be the future. Desktop-class power in your pocket, easily connected to a monitor.
Not yet for me. I still need a full ATX desktop for various hardwares.

No. You can't do any real work on tablets because they all run a smartphone OS, with the exception of a few x86 ones running Winshit. A standard physical keyboard and large display will always be better for typing up papers, doing spreadsheets, and photo/video editing and programming. Desktops might become a thing that's only for hobbyists and professionals but I don't ever see the laptop going anywhere, especially because it's cheaper than those tablets that can compete like the surfaces that have a real keyboard and an x86 CPU. What will be interesting is to see where laptops go as x86 dies and becomes a software compatibility layer. I predict that there will be ARM laptops everywhere within the next 10 years. You'd be able to run mobile and desktop apps on that. The Raspberry Pi 3 is $40 and it's about as powerful as the high end desktop replacement that I bought in 2006 for $1200.

Fucking disgusting.
>>61782236
This would actually be great, just get a non-shit keyboard and mouse and an external hard drive for it.

>Desktop-class power in your pocket
Marketing bullshit at its finest, damn phone would melt if you tried to do anything other than basic shit. For normal people who don't do much on there PC it would be alright
People who used laptops for fecesbook now use tablets, while people who used laptops for actual work still use laptops. No big deal.

Kill no, but it is a more accessable market than a desktop.
