Has Nvidia killed all overclocking?

Boost 3.0 gets you 95% to max frequency all by itself.
With Pascal's hard voltage limits, high overclocks are impossible to achieve without a custom bios.

what kind of retards overclock their gpus anyway lol

Someone who wants free performance.
Back in the day, you could OC an extra 30% performance.
Not the case today though
>>
Voltage isn't really needed for Pascal, what we need is higher power limits.

Nvidia stated once that the hard voltage limit is there because otherwise the chip would degrade in no time. TSMC 16nm dies from too much voltage.

So its either that or without a voltage limit the cards would be so good, that ppl wouldn't upgrade soon enough again. We all know how much Nvidia loves their money.

yeah because the cards literally auto overclock for you
Out of the box my 1860ish mhz 1080ti boosts up to 2030. I don't even really have to touch the memory either because who cares

my card is maxwell and maxwell has really high benefits from overclocking compared to most other architectures.

Maximum tension reduces MTBF
