Ok, so I got this 2.5 years ago and evidently, the gaming niggers are still using their decade old 1080p technology.
As a result of no one buying monitors, this is still the only 27" IPS 1440p monitor under £300.
Buy new monitors you poor fucks, I want 4k to be cheap by the time I want to upgrade

get a 120Hz monitor. it's better for everything... even if you're not playing games

Honestly I don't think there is that strong of a case for resolutions beyond 1440p right now for desktop.
The case for 1440p for gaming is not that great as higher res makes gaming worse(lower FPS due to more pixels, or deal with blurriness from non-native res, although interpolation is admittedly much, much better than in the past).
For gaming, 1080p is good enough for most people. Going up means needing a better graphics card. So upgrading your monitor means upgrading both graphics card and GPU.
What kind of panel can you recommend?
