Picked up a Moto E4 on a whim because it was $40 at Walmart and I've been having battery issue with a Pixel. Pleasantly surprised at well it works compared to a ~$600 device. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a smooth experience on a low cost device.

In 2 weeks I'm finally going to quit my life as a neet and become a traveling Hobo. I have a 200$ budget for the phone itself. Buying battery bank, screen protector, waterproof case, SD card (For vidya game emulation) and one of those vidya controllers. One of the smaller, easier ones to store.

So I fucked up and did the normie thing by buying a Samsung s6 active on at & t's 'program' where you get 0% financing or whatever.

Now the touchscreen is unresponsive half the time and my phone is basically unusable. Now I would like to get myself a new phone that is inexpensive and reliable. I only use my phone for browsing and texting, maybe navigation.

So I could either get a cheapo common phone, a chink phone, or one of those old iphone SEs. I only really care about durability.

I recently got a phone with a quad-core and it just flies up and down. I just use it for some 3D games here and there, emulators, shitposting with Clover and general tasks. I'm not the type of person to have seven bajillion apps open at a time, I rarely have more than 2 or 3, and that's when I open links here on either browser or Youtube, or leave an emulator running in the background.

I've got a moto z play now, love it for its battery life and I'm worried I'll lose out some on the Xperia. On the other hand, I'd be getting the premium and I do miss some of the more premium features of a flagship.

Admittedly, my biggest complaint on the z play is the underwhelming camera and extremely slow autofocus. Performance wise it's pretty acceptable and whatever hiccups I have are rare.

I'm using a XZs which has the same camera as the premium, can't really complain. The camera is pretty good, focuses and snaps quickly and has a dedicated shutter button, though pictures can be slightly noisier than the real top tier shooters like the S8 and the Pixel if you zoom in very very close since Sony's image processing software isn't quite as super top tier as their hardware.

I haven't done anything with overly high requirements, to the best of my knowledge (maybe some we're terribly made), but I haven't had any complaints. Only other phone was a CAT S60 for a month or two prior to this(couldn't root, returned to buy a good phone instead), and this is noticeably snappier, but I don't recall having any major issues with the S60 either. Only other Android device is a Shield Tablet, and this trumps that. Battery life, I work at Lowe's, so I have that app open in the background all day, and use it frequently to look up items, and I come home with 40-60% remaining after my shift+hour of browsing mostly Reddit at lunch.

Actually I mainly use it for equalization of bluetooth audio for my car stereo. It lets me add a smooth bass spike at 80hz only so I can boost my subwoofer output but not the speaker bass.

I also equalize bluetooth earbuds when I'm biking.

I don't really use it to amp the phone speaker unless I really want to, but the option is there.
