Any other Apple employee here?

Just finished my 2nd interview, 3 more to go.

What should I expect my final boss to do?

I used to work as a software engineer for Apple. Giving proof would require revealing my true identity, so AMA other than that. I can answer most stuff about the low level boot process and hardware of any iOS device pre-A8 and pre iOS 8.

>inb4 are you gay
No.
>inb4 do you use any Applel products
No. I use only GNU/Linux and OpenBSD on Coreboot hardware and Lineage OS on Nexus phones.

Junior dev on the east side for a medium sized company. What kinda of shit did you work on? What was your actual salary and was it worth it with the standard of living?

Also what was your interview process like? Did you need a whiteboard? Did you write fizz buzz (I'm actually serious because that shit was over here)

My advice would be to play it cool. Apple models their customer service after Ritz Carlton hotels. It's why they have such a high customer satisfaction rate. Even if you don't technically know answers to some of the questions, as long as you can talk to people and aren't a complete sperg they'll most likely hire you.

The employees walking around the crowded apple stores don't know anything about hardware or software. I once asked an employee how much RAM the new iPad has and he panicked and starting going on about how fast it was and how many apps you can fit on it. He didn't know what ram was.

So just don't be a complete sperg and you'll be hired. Really good benefits from working there. Oh, and if you're black or wear a turban you have a better chance of getting a job there believe it or not because it makes them look better. Probably one of the only employers on the planet that have that mentality.

Recently transitioned from being a senior specialist to a site support engineering role.

If any of you guys are T1 or T2 I hate every single one of you.

Can confirm. Almost everyone graduating from "academy" is a pajeet, black or a woman. Out of a 20 person training group I only see 2-3 white males even though statistically their metrics are much better.

I don't really know that much about the actual guts of programming and shit, but that's pretty cool. What was the worst part about working for applel?

>What kinda of shit did you work on?
Low level firmware.
>What was your actual salary and was it worth it with the standard of living?
120k and I was eating ramen most days. It's expensive as fuck to live out there.
>Also what was your interview process like?
They asked me about work experience, how I handle working on a team and they asked me to write basic programs in C and ASM which is really easy.
>Did you need a whiteboard?
They gave me a MacBook with XCode open.
>>
I'm gonna apply for the apple store too. Seems simple enough.

Oh no lol it's hard to get in brah

friend of mine recommended me so I skipped a line of like 3k applicants, it was only me and another guy at an interview that's usally 25 people minimum.
>>
I work at Apple in our online forum/message board marketing division.

In my experience the third round interview is similar to the second round but just a little longer/meatier.
