>supercapacitors still haven't replaced batteries
What is going on?
>that old video is deleted from youtube
>complete radio silence since

>i am thirteen and i never heard of energy density
Energy density is still dogshit and the voltage drops quickly.
However battery charging tech has improved. We are now able to charge a 3000 mAh battery to 60% in ~30 minutes without heating up the battery too much (see oneplus dash charging).

>i am twelve and i have never realized that charging a phone 3 times a day for 30 seconds is faster than charging it once for 6 hours

But with every charge-discharge cycle you're still damaging the battery's capacity.

>voltage drops
>what is voltage regulator
>>61735817
Have with that 0.1Whr battery that only works for a few seconds due to voltage drop m8.
>>61735833
True but this is a slow process and only becomes noticeable after ~300 complete discharge and recharge cycles.
>>61735858
That would reduce efficiency immensely and add bulk to phones.

>300 complete discharge and recharge cycles
You already charge your phone (and smartwatch) every night, so that slow process erodes the battery in a single year.

You own apple products don't you?
I only charge my S7 active every 2-3 days.
>>61735968
t. I just check time on my phone and occasionally call someone
>>61735968
Lol. I charge mine like once in 2 weeks.
>>61735750
A supercap that can replace a battery would just be a battery.
IMPLEMENT A JOULE THEIF IN WITH THE FREAKING SUPERCAPACITORS TO STOP VOLTAGE DROP!!! You guys are plebs.

>I want all the power in matters of miliseconds rather than hours and hours
>I would rather need a large resistor to keep the voltage from dropping

I got a similar phone.
This is probably the best phone I've ever had.

Do these work with AT&T's network? I bought a BLU phone similar to those, but I guess AT&T no longer supports 2G, so I had to return it.
>>61736653
Mine (e1200) doesn't have internet.
>>61736653
how is that possible? all all g versions work here.. i can even use an almost 30y old nokia gsm phone here if i want.
>>61737001
I don't know. I tried both SIM slots on the phone, but neither seemed to work. I read AT&T shut down their 2G network, so I assumed that was the issue.

I believe I also messed around with some of the internal phone settings, but to no avail.
fwiw, I have a Consumer Cellular AT&T SIM (as opposed to the T-Mobile SIMs that they also sell)

I suppose I should also specify that I live in central Ohio, USA?
>>61736529
woah what's it like living in 2008?
>>61735817
It is way more convenient to charge once a day for a couple hours than it is to charge even for 30 seconds throughout the day just charge when your asleep and it gets you through the day

In addition, I just switched from a Sprint-based MVNO, so I have a pair of Samsung Galaxy S4s. Supposedly the model I have should have bare bones compatibility with GSM networks, but again, I can't seem to get the SIM to work. I don't think I can even get the phone carrier unlocked. (via the *#0011# method - one phone rooted running CyanogenMod, and the other on stock firmware)
