For the superior pointer option.
>>
>>61729149
I am using this one at work, but I use a normal mouse at home.
>>
Just took a chance on an Elecom trackball, works pretty nice as a mouse alternative to use in bed
>>
>>61729149
i hate things like this, ive always physically moved my mouse to move the pointer, if i keep my hand stationary i get a really bad cramp.
>>
>>61729149
My m570 broke so I recently got a kensington orbit with scroll ring. It's pretty nice and the rollers are way better than the m570.
>>
>>61730327
What broke in your M570?

I've had some issue with mine randomly losing power; I think it's probably something wrong with the switch or some other wiring, since moving it around usually fixes it.
>>
>>61730763
Same issue as you, it would randomly lose power/disconnect.

I bet you use a “joystick“ as well LMAO
>>
I recently bought a Kingston Orbit. hasn't arrived yet, but i'm excited to not murder my wrists. Anyone got some config tips or something?

For what purpose?

Just bought a Logitech m570 to avoid further strain on tendinitis. But I'm not sure it will help. Thoughts?
>>
>>61731490
If you've never used a trackball then it will probably take you a week or two to get used to it. Not anything to configure really.
>>
>>61731735
You might consider a finger ball, as a thumb ball puts all the effort on the thumb while you.typically use two or three fingers on a finger ball.
>>
>>61730763
>>61731137
most likely just the cable, if you can open it, you probably can solder it back on
>>
why is it better than good mouse?
>>
>>61731735
You mean tendons. Tendinitis is the inflammation of a tendon.
>>
I stopped using thumb trackballs when they stopped using the 4th finger for anything. Poor decision IMHO, since trackballs are stationary and are therefore ideal for utilizing the 4th and 5th fingers. If I go back, I might try the Elecom. They even make a lefty version. Makes me want to think of applications where I can use both mice simultaneously.
>>
Logitech Marble trackman for work, g502 for home use. I hate the trackman so much.

Laptop CAD modeling.
>>
>>61729149
No sir, I don't like it.
>>
The ultimate wrist relief input device in descending order.

keyboard (ie ratpoison ect) > vertical mouse > trackball > touchscreen > touchpad
>>
>>61733614
I have this mouse, but the ball it ships with is awful for some reason. I am using the ball from my Logitech M570 and that seems to work great, but keep in mind you might need to get a new ball if you buy it.
>>
M570 is great, until the damn reciever breaks. I've been through 4 usb recievers in the past year - random power drops & missing or doubling of clicks.

Spacemouse Enterprise + M570 = god tier for CAD

>not having 2 balls
>>
>>61731453
honestly this one is shit,
the logitech trackman marble is much better
>>
>>61729149
M570 is a joy to use, but mine crapped out on me after little more than a year.
>>
>>61731652
I have a lot of glass surfaces around the office, so I can't use a regular optical mouse with my laptop, and IdeaPad touchpads are hot garbage.
>>
>>61729149
m570 is garbage. I've gone through 3 of them. The switches are prone to double clicking, button will release unexpectedly while dragging, receiver erratic, etc. I wasn't a gluten for punishment, but logitech was the only multi-button trackball at the time. Thank god for elecom, a better trackball, wired, and works in linux too.
>>
>>61737255
thats a feature in all logitec pointer controllers
