> Gaymer: WHY AMD DOSN'T CARE ABOUT US!!
Meanwhile they think GTX 1060 is better than 4/580.
>>
Based raja btfo gaymer
>>
Why does AMD even bother.
>>
BR glueaters getting BTFO
>>
>>61725947
never heard anyone say that. AMD can snub their nose as much as they want at LE GAYMERS and they will end up holding their dick wondering why they don't have anyone to sell gpus after the mining fad dies off.
>>
>>61725985
Problem is that even if AMD product is cheaper and better the gaymers are gonna buy nvidia/Intel.
>>
>>61726020
maybe it's shit marketing? no, couldn't be that.
>>
>>61726031
This! I don't have to time to look at benchmark graphs, I need the company to tell me how and what it does and that's the most important.
>>
>>61725604
> AMD YOU ARE SO RETARDED
No. You.
>>
>>61726031
You just confirmed that gaymers are idiots that can't buy superior product.
Why would you invest even more money to those idiots so they can make right choise.
Would be better to sell all those cards to professionals/miners. They atleast know what they are buying.
>>
>>61726109
>reee fucking /v/idiots kill yourself I didn't want you to buy it anyways.
>>
>>61725604
It's funny how gamers think that AMD gives two shits about what people do with the cards. So long as the check clears AMD doesn't care.
>>
>>61726149
you really obsessed over games. go suck minerfag cock like a good little slut AMD

Absolute MACACO
>>
>>61726231
yea it's called AMD shilling damage control because it can't beat 2 year old cards at gaming.
>>
>>61726440
B-but Vega is DOA... AMD is bankrupt.... M-muh SOPA MACACO!
>>
>>61725604
Life isn't fair if the miners buy them first you can't do anything about it. The world doesn't revolve around you and your gaming fuckbois people are allowed to do and buy what they please get over it oh and FYI the founders edition Vegas can only be bought in a "gaming bundle"

they literally launched cryptocurrency ISA
they are a company they see money they go for it
i wont be suprised if in the future we learn that amd is behind ETH

It's fascinating how gamers think they should be catered to, that AMD or Intel should make architectures specifically for gaming.

They don't even realize they get scrap, lowest quality ASICs, the lowest margin products with little care for stability or features.

You buy shit, you get treated like shit, deal with it niggers.
>>
>>61725604
Most gamers don't buy AMD/ATI even if they make a better performance or better price to performance card. AMD doesn't make money from gamers. Unless Navi is the next Ryzen of GPUS they should probably just focus their lesser cards to miners if picks up again.
>>
>>61725604
then you should have bought an XFX 480

>>61726822
who gets the good stuff?
>>
>>61727163
>who gets the good stuff?
It's a secret.
>>
Graphics card mining doesn't even make that much money. You can earn the annual profit off one of these in a week of half ass work at an entry level food service job.
>>
>>61727163
Enterprise and embedded.
>>
>>61726663
I've been thinking about this a lot lately. The timing of this whole thing is hilarious. My sense of humour wants it to be more than coincidence.
>>
>>61725604
Why would AMD care who is going to buy their product as long as someone is?
Wouldn't they be happy to sell all the stock to just one person? They will get the same amount of cash (and more, due to distribution costs) regardless, no?
>>
>mfw the cryptominers go chase VEGA for a while and I can finally buy my 1060 in peace
>>
>>61727245
It's extra money, which you can make without doing anything.
>>
>>61725985
Mining will never fade out.

Things will just increase.
>>
>>61727245
No real miner is going to have only one card, eight is pretty standard. And mining required very little effort, at most a few hours comparing prices in a spreadsheet. It would only take 150 RX 460s to make a living wage mining Monero (which is pretty bad for profitability because of CPU miners inflating the difficulty) and those cards have a one year return on investment, and then you could also start a pool and collect fees for even more free money.
>>
>>61727245
>Graphics card mining doesn't even make that much money
>5-6$ per card per day
>100 days ROI
>''Not much''
>>
>>61725947

>>
>>61727946
mining what at $5 a day???
>>
>>61726440
It don't need.
Turned raja made the special features as mining operations since they know it can't compete as a graphics card
>>
>>61728112
thats some fucked up grammar
>>
>>61727834

This ... just ordered 4 1070's for mining. My 1st rig .. planning to expand it to 6 once I get going..
>>
>>61728165

Also just a warning for mining people out there ... stay the fuck away from EOS ...

IMO this is all just a scam for them to earn shitloads once Ethereum changes from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake ...
>>
>>61725638
Essa AMD tá uma porra
>>
Is the 290x still good for mining?
>>
>>61725623
This
>>
>>61725604
Man I really need a couple for coding.....
Can't they just start to make new asic shit for these miners soon

God damnit they just need it for hashing and I ain't buying a god damn laptop either, I already have a good one and need another/new desktop workstation
>>
>>61728005
>Seems the rumoured hash rate on VEGA is 70-100 per card, which is insanely good if true.
Ethereum would give you 6$ per day whit 100 MH/s(minus electricity cost).
>>
>>61725623
many of us need gpu's for coding anon...

I never play gaymes, if I do I just play and old version of civ and don't need the newest gpus for that, however I do code shit that requires welll as many and as good gpus as possible
>>
>>61728234
what do you have against /g/aymers?
>>
>>61726149
Are you retarded? Mining had a net negative effect on AMD. There was a flood of new PC gamers in 2012-2014, probably due to the underwhelming console launches, and guess what they all bought? The 750Ti. Nvidia snatched up almost
100% of people buying or building a PC for the first time due to high AMD prices. AMD GPU's sold in the short term, however gaming which is a much more stable market went to Nvidia and now they have the overwhelming marketshare. The same thing is happening now, the 470/480/570/580 are really good but no one can buy them. So the 1060 is now the most popular gaming GPU.
>>
Welp Nvidia + AMD CPU it is
>>
>they'll all be out of stock for the next year

Only AMD will.

You're free to Nvidia's over market price proprietary trash.
(Not a issue if you use Windows)

Miners are not great for long-term profits.
>>
>>61725604
don't fall for the indian jews, get a 1080ti, it performs better. ;)
>>
>>61728477
Mining profits aren't sustainable which is why both AMD and Nvidia treat it with caution. See >>61728315
Nvidia was able to take advantage of the lack of supply of AMD cards and created an ecosystem of people that only buy Nvidia cards.Mining is killing AMD's GPU division long term. It's why AMD is doing a Vega bundle with games and hardware discounts .

$6 per day - electricity (say $1 - 2 per day)
so say $4 per day x7 = $28 per week x 52 = $1456 per year (per card).

Mining rigs usually pay for themselves after about 9 months - 12 months. After that its all pure profit and you can use older rigs to mine alt coins .... worth
